Outlook Issues

I recently encountered an error in which the send receive button disappeared. Please feel free to leave comments on the resolution or your recommendations on other repair steps. Don’t forget to backup important information such as .pst and .ost files as well as email account settings.

   
  The send and receive button is missing or it disappears after startup.
  • Before starting you should export your email to a PST file as a backup. If you are using Microsoft Exchange as your back end mail service this may be an unnecessary step as the mail remains on your exchange server.
   
 
  • Go the the control panel by selecting the start menu and browsing to the control panel icon 
  •  
     
  • Once you arrive at the control panel select the mail icon
  •    
     
  • After selecting the mail icon you will need click the "show profiles" button and review the number of profiles listed here. Try and determine which one is the active profile by reviewing the associated email settings. It is a good idea to copy this information down if you dont have it recorded already. Delete all profiles other than the default. Or delete them all and start over by recreating your email profile.

    1. Dude, thank you very much… I search the web looking for a solution and nothing result until this.

      Easy and fast solution here… altough I think this happen after install the “MS outlook connector”, at least in my case.
