Site Tracking Code for Custom Pages
If you want to track your pages using the built-in Office Live tracking tools after you have converted from the standard design tool then you need to insert the tracking code manually. I tend to use Google analytics on most of my other sites in combination with Adsense. However, if you are building a site for a client or someone who wants to use the existing tools then you will need to do the following:
1. On the left navigation bar, click WebSite, and then click Site Reports.
2. Go to the administration tab and on the left navigation bar, click Get code.
2. Follow the instructions presented on the “get code” screen and save your changes. The code will look something like this:
3. Open your .htm files in an HTML editor and paste the tracking code into each page just before the tag.
4. Save the changes and upload the files to your Microsoft Office Live Web site folder.
